Dan Tetsell was born in 1974. Since graduating in Drama at Bristol University
he has been working full-time as a comedy writer / performer. Dan was a finalist
in the BBC New Comedy Awards 1998.
Dan Tetsell and Danny Robins have been working together since 1995. They have
written and performed for numerous TV and Radio programmes and they also regularly
perform live.
They met at Bristol University in 1995, where they formed the comedy sketch team
Club Seals with Marcus Brigstocke. After they left Bristol, they moved to London
and started submitting material to Radio 4 shows. Their big break came in 1999
when they made We Are History for BBC2, a second series followed and since then
they have had their work broadcast across the world, created two original series
for Radio 4, and written for such luminaries as Ronnie Barker, Armando Iannucci,
Simon Bates and Basil Brush.
Dan Tetsell, wrote and starred of 2003’s spooky hit show Live Ghost
Hunt.
He performs alongside Danny Robins in The Museum of Everything – which
recently finished its second Sony-nominated series on Radio 4.
Dan was recently nominated for a Sony Radio Award for his Radio 4 show ‘The
Museum of Everything’ (Performed with Danny Robins and Marcus Brigstocke).
As an actor he’s appeared in Ed Reardon’s Week (Radio 4), Rolf’s
Animal’s Hairdressers (Channel 4), The Milk Run (Radio 1), That Was Then This Is Now (Radio 2) and can be heard in Chris Addison’s radio series The Ape That Got Lucky winner of the Sony Gold comedy award 2006.
