Daniel Macpherson
One of Australia's hottest young exports, Daniel MacPherson has found success on both sides of the globe. Discovered by a talent scout at a triathlon in Sydney in 1996, he quickly knuckled down to learn his new found profession, and spent three and half years (1998-2001) playing the role of Joel in long running aussie soap Neighbours. He quickly found public and industry applause, winning Best Newcomer at the 1998 TV Logie Awards, in his homeland, and also recieving a nomination for Most Popular Actor in 2001.

A move to London saw Daniel treading the boards in the 2002 UK production of Godspell, where he alternated the roles of Jesus and Judas nightly, proving to many that despite the surfer good looks, he is more than just another aussie soap star.

His stint on stage saw him impress producers of primetime ITV drama The Bill Daniel was offered the role of copper PC Cameron Tait. Daniel again won recognition in the UK with a nomination for Best Newcomer at the 2003 National Television Awards.

After three years away, Daniel arrived back home to Sydney in November 2004.

He was immediately offered the role of host Network Tens hugely successful The X Factor and offered a television drama development deal through Network Ten Australia.

2005 saw Daniel star in the tele-movie Black Jack with Colin Friels and perform in Love Letters at the NIDA Theatre.

In 2006 Daniel was cast in the role of Ned in the UK 5 /Network Ten co-production, Tripping Over, boasting an international cast andlocations including Thailand, London, Sydney and Melbourne.

The down to earth Australian has an array of diverse talents beyond acting. He has just completed a 1000kilometer ride from Sydney to Melbourne to help raisethe level of awareness about depression within the community,and is now planning to compete in thegrueling Western AustralianIron Man competition in December.
